Privacy Policy
CostAVG (“we”, “this site”) is a dollar-cost-averaging backtest calculator. This page explains what data we collect ourselves, which third-party services we use, and what cookies they set.
What we collect directly
When you run a calculation, we log the parameters (asset, amount, frequency, date range) together with your IP address hashed with a secret salt — we never store your real IP. This is used only to show us aggregated usage stats (which assets are popular, typical contribution sizes) and cannot be used to identify you or reversed back to your IP. We don’t sell, share, or otherwise use this data.
The calculator itself works without any account, login, or personal information.
Cookies and third-party services
We only load the services below after you accept cookies in the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, none of them load, and no cookies from these services are set.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymised usage analytics (pages viewed, general location, device type). See Google’s privacy policy.
- Google AdSense — serves the ads on this site and may use cookies to personalise them. You can control ad personalisation across Google at adssettings.google.com.
- Coinzilla — a crypto-focused ad network that serves the banner ad on this site. See Coinzilla’s privacy policy.
